Elevance Health Releases 2022 Impact Report

Elevance Health today released its annual Impact Report, highlighting its industry-leading innovation as a diversified healthcare services organization. It was a transformative year in which the company rebranded to Elevance Health, which better reflects its commitment to delivering on its purpose – to improve the health of humanity.

The report reviews key initiatives in 2022, including advancing whole health through innovative programs like the CarelonRx Clinical Pharmacy Care Center; improving health outcomes through Community Service Centers; further reducing costs with partners like ZipDrug; empowering consumers on their health care journey through the Total Health Connections advocacy suite; committing to a high-performance culture among associates; and industry-leading sustainability practices and reporting.

Achievements in 2022 included:

• Becoming the first managed care organization in the nation to earn the full 3-year health equity accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance for all of the company’s owned Medicaid health plans, covering nearly 90% of its Medicaid membership
• Overseeing more than $84 million in active grants and sponsorships through the Elevance Health Foundation, with a focus on Maternal-Child Health, Food as Medicine, and Substance Use Disorder
• Contributing more than 135,000 employee volunteer hours in communities served
• Committing to net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050
• Becoming an initial signatory to the World Economic Forum’s Global Health Equity Network “Zero Health Gaps Pledge,” the world’s first global, multi-sector health equity pledge
